MATTHEWS -
Claire Aline (Army) Belsito
Claire Aline (Army) Belsito, 86, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Claire was the daughter of the late Alton and Aline (Hebert) Army. She lived in Millbury, Massachusetts for most of her life before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003 to be closer to her son, Stephen, daughter-in-law, Gail, and their family.
She is survived by her beloved son Stephen and daughter-in-law Gail Henderson of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughters Pamela and son-in-law Thomas Szkutak of Boston, Massachusetts, and Patricia and son-in-law Anthony Hachey of Davenport, Florida. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Claire leaves her sister Cecile Nelson of Millbury, Massachusetts, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A lifelong member of Assumption Church in Millbury, Claire was a proud graduate of Millbury Memorial High School. She cherished summer trips to Cape Cod, indulged in maple walnut ice cream, and hot fudge sundaes, and had a special love for cats and kittens. Claire was a woman of deep faith and loved the Lord. Her family meant the world to her, and she will be profoundly missed.
Claire will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a warm smile for all who encountered her. Her generosity, love, and faith left an everlasting impact on those who knew her.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at the Royal Park Rehabilitation Center in Matthews, North Carolina. Their loving care during Claire's later years was deeply appreciated.
Funeral services will be private.
