Claire (Bisson) Gagnon, 90, is now at peace. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on June 20, 2021. Born in Lowell, MA, she was a daughter of the late Anita and Hormidas "Pete" Bisson. The matriarch of the Gagnon clan is now at her forever home with the love of her life, Henry J. Gagnon, who she met at the Lakeview in Massachusetts. She has been polishing and getting her wings ready for quite some time, wanting to be with Henry and so many family and friends. Claire had a purpose here only God knew and He has finally decided it was time for her to use those wings and bring her "home". We will miss this beautiful and loving soul who was known as: Mom, Mommy, Ma, Mumsie, Memère and Old Memère. She had a wonderful life full of smiles, hugs, laughter, adventure, and the occasional scolding! Claire went so many wonderful places – a trip across the country, the Florida Keys, Canada, Bermuda and Alaska to name a few, with so many family and friends that she took with her. She got her license when she was 62 and entertained all who visited her, whether taking you on uncharted routes or taking you to her favorite restaurants where everyone knew her name. Claire loved her family get togethers the most. Just seeing her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids laugh and telling stories of memories gone by. She loved crocheting, reading and cooking. She passed down her recipes with a "pinch of this" or "just put enough" of that. Her greatest recipe will be the "love" she spread over everyone she knew. She kept insisting she had no favorites – but all of us think we are anyway! There is your birthdate – the dash – and your end date. She recently asked one of her wonderful granddaughters to take her to the gravestone to see if there was an "end date" on her name after the dash. Yes, she was also a funny lady! She filled that dash with 90 yeas of love, laughter and family. We will always hold you with our hearts until the day we can hug you and hold you in our arms. She so loved to hug! Thank you, God, for letting us hug her once more before putting on those wings. Now her and dad are together watching over this "clan" again. Claire will be missed by her children, Ronnie Gagnon and wife Donna, Diane Joyal, David Gagnon, Michelle Burton and husband Al, Rachel Crement, Robert Gagnon and wife Kathy, and Maureen Gagnon and fiancé Laurier Pepin; her siblings, Cecile DiPoto and Paul Bisson and his wife Ruth; her grandchildren, Christine Floyd, Joe Gagnon, Bryan Joyal, Melina Burton, Heather Gagnon, Stephanie Burton, Megan Guertin and husband Jerrod, Tyrel Gagnon, Scott Crement, Yazmine Gagnon, Shawn Crement, Curtis Gagnon and Lindsie Gagnon; her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alexis, Brody and Henry; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Claire's visitation will be on Thursday, June 24th from 4-7PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 25th at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, 265 South Main Street, Manchester. Private burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claire's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org or Sacred Heart Church.

The thought of Memere dancing with Pepere and playing cards with her friends is such a peaceful thing. She went home and although she will be missed, it is comforting to know she has met her Maker, kissed her husband again, and is watching over all of us. I love you all and hope you find peace in her memories.

Thank you for all of the wonderful memories starting at Alma Street in Lowell, out in the sticks of Hudson NH & holiday meals in Florida. As far back as I can remember there always was Ma Tante (my aunt) Claire. Maria & I are blessed to have spent time with her, she will be missed. To my cousins, our deepest sympathies.
