Claire E. (DuPont) Maloney, 89, died peacefully at home on Monday, Sept. 26th after a decline in health. Claire was married for 57 years to Thomas H. Maloney who died in June 2013. She is survived by two daughters, Jan C. Wilner and her husband Dr. David Wilner of Holden and Joy E. Biagiotti and her husband Joseph Biagiotti of East Boston. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Dr. Samantha E. Wilner of Philadephia, PA, Dr. Joshua I. Wilner of San Diego, CA, Anthony T. and Sarah C. Biagiotti both of East Boston. Claire grew up in Millbury, attended the Assumption School and graduated from Millbury High School in 1944. She worked at the Millbury Savings Bank prior to being married. Claire was a long time parishioner of St. Brigid's Parish. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Adelard and Edna DuPont. Claire's family would like to thank Dr. Susan Hardy, Lauri Toohey, NP, Mary Njaga, RN and all the staff at Summit Eldercare at Grafton Street for their years of compassionate care. We would also give a special acknowledgement to Maria Serrano, Delmy Ciciliane and Wendy Ciciliane without whom Claire would not have been able to remain living at home. Their care and devotion is unmatched and we are grateful for the many hours they dedicated to Claire and for always treating her like family. Claire's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept 30th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Summit Eldercare Activities Fund, 1369 Grafton Street, Worcester, MA 01604.

Jan, Joy, David, and Joe,
Your many long hours of compassionate care & deep concern for the comfort of your mother Claire have not gone unnoticed as you all tried so diligently to have her remain in her own home during these last few difficult years. You have shown us all, once again as you did before for your father, the true meaning of the word "family" !! Our thoughts & prayers will be with you now & always !!
Love, Patty, Paul,

Jan,

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I have fond memories of sitting at her kitchen table sharing a cup of coffee and great conversation with her. She was a true lady in every sense of the word.
