Claire Recinos Obituary
Claire graduated from Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, S.C., earned an academic scholarship to Wofford College but transferred to Clemson University at the beginning of her Junior year. There, she earned her Bachelor of Art degree in Education. She taught at Kids' Grow, a private non-profit program in North Charlston, S.C. teaching low-income students math, science and biology in an outdoor garden. Claire also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MUSC in Charleston, S.C. Claire loved animals especially, and was a talented artist. She possessed a love of life, a generous heart, an innate sense of justice, and an amazing inner strength.
Claire is survived by two brothers, Jesse Charles Recinos of and his son Oliver Jonathan Recinos; Samuel Joseph Recinos, and his wife Natalie Lorene Recinos and their baby Logan Walter Recinos; two half-siblings, Elijah Recinos and Hannah Recinos, as well as her mother, Helen Faith Hiser and her father, Harold Joseph Recinos. She will be deeply loved and missed by all forever.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, 639 N. Main Street, Greenville, SC, followed by a memorial service, in honor and loving memory of Claire, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kids in Need Foundation, at https://www.kinf.org and/or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals South Carolina, at https://www.ASPCA.org.
