Claire Ricks

Claire Davis Ricks was my step mother in law. She was one Sweet and Special Lady to our two children growing up. She always included them in Christmas gifts and Birthday gifts. Gary and I married a year after Mr. Fred passed away, but GranClaire always alway included us in everything with her. Just wanted to let You know We will Love and Miss You. Until We see You again.

Ms. Claire and my mom, Beverly (Chambers) Gilbert were classmates at Freyhan School and remained close until my mom's death (too young). I have wonderful memories as a child playing in the fields around her home on 61. Tommy, that was so long ago, you'll likely not remember we "city boys" visits. In any case, the years have not dimmed my memory of her warmth, joy, and laugh. "Cuzin" Claire was convinced I named my own daughter "Claire" after her, and while that may not be totally true, I am more than pleased at the notion that they share the same spirit, strength, and smile. My schedule will not allow me to attend tomorrow, but know you have my deepest sympathies and the respect of someone who has seen a life well lived. God bless, gg
