Claire Thomas

Claire Butts Thomas, 81, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, and is now in the arms of Jesus, her Savior and Lord.

She was born on July 5, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas and spent much of her life in the Texas Hill Country. She attended Comfort schools and had a lifetime occupation as a hair stylist in Austin, Texas. She became an active member of Bethany Methodist Church in Austin where she enjoyed numerous trips with the youth on mission and ski trips in Colorado.

Claire was preceded in death by her father and mother, Fred and Elinor Butts; her sister, Elinor Jean Wendeborn; and brother, Claude Bryars.

She is survived by her sister, Loretta Walsh and by her son, Curtis Miller Thomas and grandsons, Tristan and Kipton Thomas who will miss her dearly.

Claire's family extends much appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful care takers of Peterson Hospice, Riverpoint Memory Care and Stone and Heart Assisted Living.

Celebration of Life at a graveside service will be held at 2 PM on October 4, 2025, with family and friends at the Comfort Texas Cemetery, officiated by Christopher Weeks.
