Clara Emma Bishop, 83, of Wiggins, MS., passed away on November 3, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Wiggins. Clara was born on December 28, 1941, to her parents, Johnnie and Clara Emma Fourtunia. Clara grew up in a time when hard work was learned and expected. She mastered her trade as a seamstress, working for several companies, including Decatur Shirt Factory and La-Z-Boy. She also worked at the Casino and even went offshore once, always making sure her family was taken care of. When she wasn't working, Clara enjoyed going to NASCAR races and watching Saints football. She loved fishing and crabbing with her family, whom she loved immensely. Spending time and providing for her grandchildren was something she took pride in, rarely saying no. Even if it was a request for her famous cheesy eggs late at night, Clara got up and filled their bellies, because being a Memaw was the Joy of her life. Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Bishop; her parents, Johnnie Fourtunia and Clara Hardie; and one brother, Joseph Hardie. She is survived by her children, Lynn Mallette, Cynthia Diane Mallette, and Lloyd Franklin McDaniel; her grandchildren, Chandler, Baylie, Rebecca, Kathy, Crystal, Emmy, Harlie, Travis, Bruce, Brent, Madison, Levi, and Taylor; her siblings, Susan Miller, Nancy Vegas, and Marvin Hardie. Clara leaves a legacy of several great-grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whom all were so special to her. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bishop family and kindly asks that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
