Clara Ivanac

Clara (Macugoski) Ivanac, 94 of Avella, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at WVU Medicine Weirton, WV.
Clara was born on September 16, 1930 in Hanlin Station, PA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Macugoski and Antonina (Mysiur) Macugoski.
Many will remember Clara for her love of the outdoors, always sitting on her porch, in addition to gardening especially, being able to can and baking, and her enjoyment of crocheting, reading and coloring.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ivanac and siblings, Joe, Ed and Steve Macugoski, Stella Bertovich, Jennie Orenchuk and Mary Orenchuk.
Clara is survived by her four children, Sharlene Ford and her husband, Gerald of Ravenel, SC, Charles Ivanac of Burgettstown, PA, Craig Ivanac and his wife, Debbie of Zanesville, OH and Gerald Ivanac and his wife, Brenda Waters of Burgettstown, PA, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717.
A Private Family Service will be held on Friday with a Private Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery Haven of Rest, Colliers, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, C/o James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the care given to Clara during her time at Weirton Geriatric Center.
