Mrs. Clara King Mitchell, a devoted woman of faith, family, and service, peacefully entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025. Born in Norwood, Georgia, on May 12, 1939, to the late Love and Daisy King, she was one of the beloved "King Girls." A proud graduate of Henry McNeal Turner High School (Class of 1958) and the Grady School of Nursing, Clara lived a life marked by compassion, diligence, and unwavering faith.

She and her late husband, Mr. Curtis W. Mitchell, Sr., were partners in love and business, operating several service stations, dry cleaners,

and restaurants, in the Atlanta area. Through Mitchell's Day Care, Mrs. Mitchell nurtured generations of children for over 45 years, creating a lasting legacy of care and community.

A faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for more than 35 years, she served joyfully in several ministries and was a cherished pillar of her East Point community.

She leaves to celebrate her memory her devoted daughter, Maria Mitchell Dean; beloved grandchildren, Chata Spikes and James Dean, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

Mrs. Clara King Mitchell's life was a reflection of Proverbs 31: "A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
