Clara P. Reyes, a beacon of love and faith, left this world too soon on January 26, 2026, after a victorious battle with cancer. Born on October 2, 1987, in
San Antonio, Texas, Clara's zest for life and her radiant spirit were evident from the very beginning.
Clara's journey was one marked by an unwavering commitment to education and the empowerment of young minds. After receiving her Associate's Degree from Palo Alto College, she pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Texas A&M University of San Antonio, followed by a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Her passion for teaching led her to touch the lives of countless students over a 12-year career as an Elementary School Teacher for Prek3, Prek4, and 2nd Grade. Her excellence in education was recognized when she was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year, a testament to her dedication and the impact she had on her students, Clara's life was a portrait of love, not only in her professional life but also in her personal life.
She was a devoted wife to Ezequiel Reyes and a nurturing mother to Emily and Lexie Reyes. Her love extended to her parents, Manuel and Florencia Gallegos, and to her siblings, Laly Ramirez, Diana Gamboa, Claudia Labra, Val Jourdan, Pops Gamboa, Ade Labra, and Juan Ramirez, Clara's presence brought warmth and joy to every family gathering, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Clara's relationship with the Lord was profound and personal, and it was reflected in her desire to include everyone, to make sure no one felt left out. Her love for shopping with her mom, crafting with her daughters, nieces, and nephews, and cherishing date nights with her husband showcased her belief in the power of quality time. Dancing and worshipping the Lord were spiritual expressions of her joyous heart, Clara was the embodiment of courage, love, and faith.
She lived by the inspiring words of Helen Keller: "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Clara embraced every moment as an opportunity to create joy and to uplift others. Her legacy is one of inclusion, ensuring that everyone felt loved and valued.
As we honor Clara's memory, let us remember her not with sadness but with the motivation to live as she did-courageously, with love and faith at the forefront. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, to push us towards greatness, and to remind us to cherish the time we have with our loved ones. Clara P. Reyes, a radiant soul, may have left this earth, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
