Clara Jane Krueger Vatalaro, 94, of Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2025, at Franciscan Health Center, surrounded by cherished family members.
Clara was born on December 27th, 1930, in Ely, MN, to Carl and Rose Krueger. She graduated from the College of Saint Scholastica and worked as a Registered Nurse for 37 years.
Clara will be remembered for her love of her family, the Vikings, Elvis, and Christmas. She was a devout catholic and supporter of the Red Cross and U.S. Veterans.
She is survived by her youngest brother, Carl (Billie) Krueger, daughters: Debbie Burbul, Dianna (Clint) Reff, and Renee (Tim) Keppers, special daughter-in-law, Linda Vatalaro, nieces and nephews, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard “Dick” Krueger, and Rosemary “Toots” Lekatz, her parents, son-in-law Joe Burbul, and son, Michael Vatalaro.
Special thanks to the staff at Franciscan Health Center and Keystone Bluffs for their care and professionalism.
Her love of Christmas will carry on through the annual Vatalaro Christmas Bingo (40+ years strong). We will keep some tinsel and blue lights on the tree for her.
Clara did not wish to have a funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in her honor.
