Sadly, Clare Rosenberger Brightman passed away on January 17th, 2025, at the age of 96. She was devoted to her husband, Ernest; to her children, J. Jeffry (Kathleen), Kent (Lori), Elizabeth (Ken); and to her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Kayla, Blake, Ava, Katie, and Sarah.
Clare started her professional life as administrative assistant to the General Counsel at Westinghouse, and then worked with her sister, Mary, and nieces, Penelope, Gretchen, and Earldine, as Director of Financial Aid at the Clarissa School of Fashion Design in downtown Pittsburgh. In her personal life, her marriage spanned 65 years, while being steadfast in her role as mother and matriarch. Clare most enjoyed spending time with family, and time tending to her garden, an avid gardener into her early 90’s. Also an accomplished cook and baker, Clare was happiest when preparing a large meal for her family, relatives, and loved ones. She will be remembered in these special moments.
