From the early 1960s until her retirement in 1993, Clare was a beloved presence at the women's fragrance counter at Bamberger's-later Macy's-Department Store in Eatontown, New Jersey. Her impeccable style and warm demeanor made her a favorite of customers and colleagues. Always perfectly dressed, coiffed, and made up, Clare had an innate flair for fashion and beauty that she carried with grace throughout her life.
Clare was a loving mother to her daughters Joan Aumack of West Long Branch, Kathleen Piantanida of Ocean Township, Lynn Kennedy of Ocean Township, and Dale Limongello of New York City. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Kennedy in 1993, as well as by her sons Edward Kennedy and Kenneth Kennedy and granddaughter Christine Piantanida DeVingo.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Charlene Piantanida, Michelle McGee, Christopher Aumack, Robert Piantanida, Dawn Graziano, Kevin Piantanida, Jessica Kennedy, Daniel Kennedy, Rebecca Puglisi, Peter Limongello, and Michelle Limongello.
Clare also cherished her role as a great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and took immense pride in watching her family grow across generations.
Known for her sharp wit and playful spirit-Clare brought laughter and light into every room she entered. Her home was always filled to the brim with family, beloved pets, candy, and photos of the people she loved.
Clare Regina Kennedy leaves behind a legacy of strength, style, and unwavering love. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Clare Regina Kennedy (née Bossone), age 104, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at her long-time residence in Ocean Township, New Jersey. Born on June 26, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Clare lived a long and vibrant life marked by elegance, humor, and deep devotion to her family.
