Clarence Lee Aiken was born February 21, 1957, in Hollywood, South Carolina. He also attended high school in the area.

Clarence was affectionately known as, Boogie, but also Peanut by friends and family in South Carolina due to his love of peanuts as a little boy (roughly between four and six ).

He was known for being a sharp dresser, friendly demeanor and collector of haberdashery (hats). He was the youngest of fifteen children.

Clarence was a truck driver for 25 years. He proudly displayed impressive work ethics and spirit that was respected and valued throughout the company. He was a devout fan and supporter of the Miami Dolphins football team. He loved Kentucky Fried Chicken, his former career and coworkers, and his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Aiken; mother, Willie Mae Aiken; brothers, including James Adjer and Ned Adjer; sister, Louise Aiken; and stepson, Nathaniel Patterson.

He is survived by his four children: Califa Ali Aiken, Clarence Lee Aiken, Jr. (Doris), Cecil L. Aiken, Uhura L. Aiken Wali aka Meechie; siblings: Rosalee Walker, Robert "Bobby" Adjer, and Nelaretha "Nellie" Walker, Charles L. Aiken; special friend: Sam; grandchildren: Auria, Dymonic, Kevin, Ashley, Antwan, Cecil, Devon, Demetrius, Luther, Alexis, Sha'kinah, Santoya, Ambrose, Santayana, Chara; twelve great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews: Pastrice, Peewee, Robert Earl, Tyrone, Carson, Mark, Nathaniel, Pooh, Pudding, and Tron; and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and sorrowing friends that love and will miss him dearly.
