Clarence Christianson

Clarence Christianson of Oklee, MN passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at the Karlstad Senior Living in Karlstad, MN.

Funeral for Clarence will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee, MN with SAM Lindi Christianson officiating. Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery Oklee, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church.

Clarence Christianson was born June 13, 1930 in Equality Township, Oklee, MN to parents Henry and Julie (Tveit) Christianson. Clarence was the 11th child of a family of 18 children.

Clarence married Lucille Hince at St. Francis Catholic Church in Oklee, MN on November 21, 1953. They were married for (68) years. Clarence and Lucille had 10 children.

Clarence was a farmer and worked for Oklee School as a mechanic and bus driver. They lived in the city of Oklee for 42 years after selling the farm. In April, 2020 Clarence and Lucille moved to Greenleaf Assisted Living in Thief River Falls, MN.

Clarence loved playing cards with friends and especially with his family on Sunday afternoons.

He is survived by his children, David (Colleen) Christianson, Daniel (Donna) Christianson, Patricia (Dwight) Brekkestran, Charlene (Tim) Lee, Tammy Morinville, Donald (Donna) Christianson, Cynthia (Steve) Kvasager, and Wanda Thompson; 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife in 2022 Lucille, sons, Dale & Dean; parents Henry & Julia Christianson, infant twin sisters, Darlene & Delores; sisters, Annie Foster, Johanna Hammer, Lilly Cantwell, Hazel Rystad, Lila Vad, Bernice Mooney, Eunice Reinhold & Lorraine Cote; brothers, Herbert, Joe, Selmer, Gilbert, George, Orvin, & Lawrence, son-in-law Steve Morinville.
