Clarence Forer
After a long and fulfilling life, our beloved Clarence Forer passed away on August 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Clarence was born on January 24, 1935 to George and Margaret Forer.
After serving in the United States Army, Clarence married the love of his life Monica Flottmeyer on April 8, 1961. They were blessed with 63 years of marriage. He was a loving father and grandfather. Clarence worked many years for Dolly Madison Dairies, later worked for LaCrosse County Country Club and retired from the LaCrosse school district. Clarence enjoyed spending time outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating, playing cards as well as hosting backyard get togethers for his family. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Clarence was a life long Catholic whose faith and belief in God was an inspiration to many.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Monica. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Jim (Sherry) Forer, John (Tracy) Forer, Tom (Dee) Forer, David (Stephanie) Forer, three daughters, Sheila (Mark) Olson, Sandy (Jerry Davenport) Becker, Laurie (Dave) Rose and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Peter, three brothers and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. James The Less Catholic Church, 1032 Caledonia St., LaCrosse. Family and friends may gather for a visitation 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place immediately following the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in LaCrosse.
