Clarence Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home - Northside on Feb. 10, 2026.
Clarence Edward Jackson Jr. was born on February 18, 1956, to Clarence E. Jackson Sr. and Evelyn Marie Reed. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973.

On November 18, 1974, Clarence answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He served honorably until May 14, 1984. His years of service reflected his dedication, discipline, and commitment to something greater than himself. Following his military service, he worked as a chauffeur in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was known for his professionalism and reliability.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. Jackson Sr. and Evelyn Marie Reed; his sister, Latonya Fontaine; and his son, Jalon Jackson.

He leaves to mourn his brother, Rodney Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; and four sisters, Ethel Jackson of Grandview, Missouri, Robin Davis of Blue Springs, Missouri, Carol (Kennedy) Ross of Dallas, Texas and Nicole Jackson-Trull of Tucson, Arizona.

Clarence also leaves behind seven children, Angela Jackson-Thompkins, Derrick Jackson, Rodrick Jackson, Dr. Azschrielle Jackson-Calhoun, Maya Quarles, Amythist James, and Chrishelle Jackson. In addition, he leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though he has departed from this earthly life, his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him.
