Clarence "Jim" J. Larson, 88, Pittsville, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at House of the Dove in Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Leo Raphael will officiate. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Pittsville with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 153 - Pittsville. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Jim was born on February 15, 1937 in Babcock to Clarence W. and Pearl (Peaslee) Larson. He graduated from Mary Heart Catholic High School in Pittsville and then served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He married Carol H. Phillippi on September 19, 1959 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Pittsville. She passed away on January 29, 2007.
Jim worked at the papermill in Port Edwards for 38 years and was an alderman on the Pittsville city council for many years. He enjoyed being part of the coffee clutch at the local Cenex and watching sports - especially the Bucks, Brewers, and Packers. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Carrie (Russ) Copeland and Laurie (Michael) Stasiewicz, grandchildren, Megan (Jordan) Schrock, Tyler (Amy) Copeland, Sarah (Spencer) Rens, Zachary (Kayla) Copeland, Ryan (Abbi) Stasiewicz, and Katelyn (Justin) Rothamer, and great grandchildren, Kinleigh, Paisley, Weston, Grayson, Caroline, Raegan, Lainey, Brooklyn, Theo, Judson, and Addison.
He is further survived by sisters, Pat (Frank) Hanutke and Judy Regalia, and sister in law, Sally Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Brian Larson, sisters, Joyce Asplin, Lou Kirby, and Jeanne Larson, and brother, William "Bill" Larson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Larry Heck, Aneva Petersen, Sally Peterson, Rhonda Luther, and House of the Dove.
