Clarence Cornelius Phillips Jr., 91, of Goshen, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026.
Born on June 23, 1934, in Palmetto, Florida, he lived a life grounded in faith, family, and quiet strength. A devoted family man, he was known for his deep Christian faith, his sense of humor, and the genuine care he showed to others.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia "Ginny" Phillips (née Derby); his father, Clarence Phillips; his mother, Margaret Phillips (née Stovall); his sisters, Pauline Daily, Elizabeth Batchelor, and Jeanette Smith; his son, Todd "Tony" Phillips; his grandson, Jake Phillips; and his granddaughters, Stephanie Brown and Amy Durham.
He is survived by his children: Tom Phillips (Lisa), Mike Phillips (Diana), Leonard Phillips (Mary), Clarence "Chuck" Phillips III (Theresa), Joe Phillips (Kim), and Rodney Phillips; his brothers, Donald Phillips (Faye) and Jerry Phillips; and his loving companion, Sally Easton-Humphries, who brought joy and friendship to his later years.
He was an immensely proud grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, each of whom was a source of great joy in his life.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home, 1944 State Route 28, Goshen, Ohio 45122. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. He will then be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens, 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, Ohio 45150.
