Mr. Clarence Alton Price, age 94, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away January 31, 2023. He was born November 24, 1928 in Haralson County, GA to the late George Milton Price and Viola Goodwin Price. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Roberts Price; sisters, Vera Roberts and Clara Collins; and sister in law and brothers in law, Rev. Tal Roberts, A.B. Roberts, Louie Roberts, E.L. Garrett, Jerry Muse, and Elizabeth and Roy Newman.
Clarence was a long time member of Mt. Zion West Baptist Church and worked as a chicken farmer with his wife, Virginia, for many years. Clarence enjoyed going to Jack's every morning for breakfast.
He is survived by his brother in law and sisters in law, Paul and Vara Roberts, of Bremen, GA, Sue Muse and Joan Roberts, both of Tallapoosa, GA, Jennie Garrett, of Cave Spring, GA, and Gail Roberts, of Cartersville, GA; his dedicated caregiver of many years, Tonya Sasser; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2:00PM at Mt. Zion West Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Robinson and Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Terry Garner, Zach Abney, Greg Wilkins, Mark Newman, Dwayne Pope, and Nelson Chandler. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Friends will be received at Mt. Zion West Friday from 12:00PM until the service hour.
