Clark W. Francis Sr, age 86 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born on November 20, 1937, to the late Larman and Versie (Southern) Francis Sr. Before his retirement, Clark had been employed for over thirty-six years in the Maintenance Department at the University of the South. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching baseball and cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers. He also enjoyed detailing cars, being outdoors in nature, and traveling, as well as listening to the blues. But most of all, Clark cherished the time spent with his beloved family. He was a devout husband and family man, and all who knew him will remember his caring and loving nature. Clark was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth Francis and Wesley Francis Jr; and siblings, Larman Francis, Betty Smith, and Ealine Glenn. Clark is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Earline Francis; children, James (Rose) Francis, and Kimberly (Tim) Eddings; grandchildren, Derick (Sarah) Francis, Erick Francis, Timothy Eddings Jr, Mauresha Eddings, and Anthony Eddings; great-grandchildren, Mylo Francis, Oliver Francis, and Kayla Francis; siblings, Benjamin (Juanita) Francis, and Janie (Kevin) Corn; nieces and nephews, Jerry (Hattie) Francis, Patricia (Pearlie) Gray, Renae (Brian) Holman, Tony Francis, Lisa Pryor, Trisa Young, Renae Francis, Patsy Smith, Sharon Vance, Sandra Smith, and John (Charlotte) Glenn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 11 am-12 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Rowe officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Watson Funeral Home, 405 Sharp Springs Road, Winchester, TN 37398, (931)-967-2345, www.watsonfhtn.com.
