Clark Giles Harmon

Clark G. Harmon, 62, of Winnebago, died on August 9, 2024. Born on August 29, 1961 in Kansas City, MO to Roger and Rose-Ann (Giles) Harmon. Clark married Kami Gobeli on October 30, 2001, in Las Vegas, NV. Clark was raised in Sand Springs, OK where he and his siblings were afforded the opportunity to travel to Jerusalem. While in Jerusalem they were each baptized in the River Jordan. Throughout Clark's career as an airline pilot of forty years in both cargo and commercial work, he ended his career and love of flying as a Captain at SkyWest airlines for over 21 years. Clark was even able to scratch off long-term items on his "bucket list", which was to obtain his seaplane rating. Clark never met a stranger and had multiple opportunities to meet celebrities, Olympic medalists, politicians, and social influencers. Clark's life was filled with joy, love, and happiness participating in all activities that he enjoyed which included RV camping, radio-controlled airplane enthusiast, golfing, and grilling. Clark was best known for his sense of humor, quick wit, story, and joke telling.
Clark is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 23 years, Kami; fur babies Riley and Bogey; son Israel; sisters Cynthia Ann Beckman, Connie (Eldon) Lawyer, and Carolyn Harmon-Finnegan; brother Chris (Sandra) Harmon; brothers-in-law Eric Gobeli and Jon (Kim) Wake; sisters-in-law Jodi (Terry) Gobeli and Leslie (Gary) Welsh; Parents-in-laws Dr. David and Leona Wake; Randy and Teresa Gobeli, nieces Isabella, Leslie, Jessica, Emily, Abby, and Ally; nephews Jason, Ross, Jeremy, Jonathan, David, Connor, Jackson, Alex, Aden, Andrew, and Drew. Clark was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Rose-Ann (Giles) Harmon; sister Catherine Burch; and brother-in-law Ford Beckman.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Seward Congregational Church, 3029 S. Pecatonica, Rd., Seward, IL 61077. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Olson-Genandt Chapel, 602 N. Elida St. Winnebago, IL 61088.
