Clark Montgomery went home peacefully to be with the Lord on November 4, 2024, at the age of 89. Lovingly known as "Monty" He embodied the love of his family. He left us with memories to cherish of your kindness and generosity. He showed us what a life well lived looks like.
Clark was born August 31, 1935, in Saltville, Virginia, to George Sr., and Gladys Montgomery, just before the Great Depression. The middle child of eight children growing up on a farm in rural Virginia, he acquired a strong work ethic and dependability that was unmatched! He retired from the Air Force, Air National Guard & The United States Post Office.
Clark was preceded in death by parents; Gladys and George Montgomery Sr., siblings; Betty Wright, Joyce Bass, Loretta Elder, George Montgomery Jr., and Homer Montgomery.
Clark is survived by his children, Robin “Bug” (Larry) Jackson, Michelle “Fats” Montgomery, Carla “Pumkin” (Wayman) Harrell, Lisa “Juice” Montgomery, Erica Darthard, and Tony Darthard. 13 grandchildren; Risshaye Cupe, Reshoda (John) Taylor , Renata (Robert) Belcher-Gilbert, Ronet (Tyrone) Belcher-Payne, Rydonaus Keith, Robinsson Keith, Rahsaan Keith, Carman Harrell, Wayman Harrell, John Austin, Shawn Austin, Tyler Green and Sahmi Willoughby
, 34 great grandchildren; Rashae, RI’Yahn, Reshod, Rishawn, Reyvin, Rikki, Ryenne, Riniya, Ryland, Rossiet, Ross Capone, Royce Santana, Royal, Rouxmer, Rockwell, Roxcelle, Rochman, Rahni, Robyn, Ronen, Romiyah, Romero, Righteous, Real, Choixx, Xcellenc, Deshawn, Amiya, Shawn Jr, Christopher, Jade, Journey and Joshua. 4 Great great grands; Rossi, Rosai, Reign & Rhyon and last surviving Sibling, his favorite sister Geraldine Keys; and a host of nieces and nephews, and a bunch of FAVORITES.
