Mr. Clarkston Gustav "Clark" Williams, 85, passed away on January 8, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Clark was born on December 11, 1940 in West Point, MS to Daniel A. Williams Sr. and Ines Hazlewood Williams.
A proud graduate of West Point High School in his hometown of West Point, Clark went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. He was named Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, 18th Edition 1982-83.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States National Guard. Professionally, he was an income tax accountant. For over four decades, he owned and operated his own business, "The Tax Man" in West Point.
Clark is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Susan Clark Williams; son Chris Williams(Carol); daughter Victory Williams Tucker (Michael), of Cheyenne, WY; two grandchildren Sierra Welty and Matthew Cobble; and one great-grandson Oakland Welty.
He is also survived by his siblings James A. Williams of Meridian and M. Joyner Williams of Columbus, along with one sister Jacintha Williams Dees of Columbus. His extended family includes numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his brothers Virgil Abel Williams, Danny J. Pennington, Ivan R. Williams, and Daniel A. Williams Jr. as well as nephews Daniel A. Williams III, Jonathan B. Williams, T. Lane Pennington, and great-niece Summer Danielle Tennyson.
Clark was an ordained minister and throughout his life, he remained steadfast in his Christian faith. He was a devoted member at the church which he attended in West Point.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Columbus is handling the arrangements.
