Mr. Claude Kevin Christenbury

Mr. Claude Kevin Christenbury, 45, of Longview passed away unexpectedly, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Kevin was born on April 29, 1971 in Burke County to Linda Hoyle Braswell and the late Steve Christenbury. He was employed as a machine operator for Zion Industries in Hildebran. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myrtle and Claude Hoyle, Vivian Jacumin Erwin and Howard Richard Christenbury and by his stepfather, Fred Braswell. Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Brayden Steele of Oak Hill and Caleb Gilbert of Morganton, seven brothers; Michael Steven Christenbury of Valdese, Casey Braswell of Rutherford College, Scott Christenbury of Colorado Springs, CO, Josh Silvers of Morganton, Bryan "Buddy" Burton of Kentucky , Jeremy Thewlis and Mike Neat, both of Kentucky. Also surviving is a niece, Courtney Christenbury Morrison and a great-niece, Molly Morrison, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. Jason Hoyle officiating. Interment will follow at Hildebrand View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
