Claude Eugene Millard was born on May 23, 1937, at his grandpa's house in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
His parents were Jodrey Clayton Millard and Thelma Mae Millard (Phillips). They moved to Missouri when he was 8 years old.
Claude worked as a Mechanic for the first several years. He then became an inspector with the City of Springfield. He was married to Sharon Faye Maples in 1960 and to that union three children were born, Sherial Diane Millard, Rebecca Lynn Millard (Tunnell) and Edward Clayton Millard.
He married Mary Barton in 1970, and he adopted Mary's son Norman Ray Barton (Millard).
He was a member of Fountain of Life Church for over 40 years.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Sherial Diane Millard, a grandson Jamie Stafford, brothers; Billy, Richard and Raymond Millard, his sister Juanita Nance Millard, brothers in law; Spike Jackson and Jerry Young also a nephew Michael Millard and a great Neice Jennifer Boatwright.
He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Tunnell ( John) of the home, sons; Edward Millard (Humansville, MO), Norman and Barbara Millard (Purdy, MO) sisters; Joanne Jackson (Strafford, MO), Mary Young (Springfield, MO) brother, David (Mija)Tuscin (Cuscin, CA) and Danny (Ellen) (Phoenix, Arizona) sisters in laws; Linda Millard (Strafford, MO) Barbara Millard (Chickamauga, GA), Martha Millard (Mansfield, MO) Brenda Millard (Fredericktown, MO), 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Claude will be remembered and loved by everyone that knew him.
