I miss seeing Mitch and Janet at FHCC. Mitch and I worked together many times in the last 20 or so years. He was a friend and a colleague. After he retired we were supposed to get together for coffee, but somehow life always got in the way.
I could never imagine he or Janet in the military, carrying a gun. Both of them are so gentle, kind and giving. At work Mitch chose to work with a very needy population that he felt needed him, and he was right. He brought compassion to the patients he worked with. He lived his religion. Some people talk about love and kindness but Mitch actually lived it.
He was always willing to help and seldom asked for anything. Both Mitch and Janet loved their family so very much. They were both so proud of their children and grandchildren, and usually carried photos of them.
I will miss Mitch and his smiles. I hope I will be able to get together with Janet and go out for coffee -- maybe lunch or dinner, in a few months -- when she is up to company; if weather is bad, maybe we'll just send out for deli. Just to sit and chat.
He was kind, gentle, loving and compassionate. He never wanted to hurt anyone. He just wanted to help people get ahead in life. He was a unique and special person.
There is a special place for Mitch in Heaven.

Dear Janet,
I am so sorry to hear of Mitch´s passing. I know that he is home with the Lord right now and has heard the words all Christ followers long to hear. "Well done good and faithful servant". I have missed talking to him these past several months at the base gym as he was undergoing treatment. He would always talk about you and his children letting me know how everyone was doing. May he rest in peace.

Mitch was an amazing patient . I had the privilege to take care of his smile for 20 years. Seeing his name in my schedule always brought a smile to my face. The entire team of Beautiful Smiles Dental Center will miss seeing him on his 3 month recall appointment which he kept religiously. Men like Mitch, kind, sweet, considerate , respectful, humble and so in love with his wife, our dear Janet are almost impossible to find any more. May He rest in peace enjoying the presence of our Dear and merciful God. Till we meet again ! Your forever Dentist, Dr Gálvez.
