Claude Springfield

Mr. Claude Springfield, age 94, of Chatsworth, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Claude was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He liked camping, traveling across the United States, and especially going to Alaska. He also enjoyed gardening, collecting knives, and had many other hobbies.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Springfield; 7 brothers, Russell Springfield, Glenn Springfield, Lester Springfield, Fred Springfield, CH Springfield, William "Forest" Springfield, and Ulus Springfield; 5 sisters, Dimple Arnold, Pearl Luffman, Gerthie Springfield, Irene Springfield, and Laura Springfield; father, Tom Springfield; mother, Sophie Stines Springfield; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Paul and Wilma Cowart, Raymond and Glenda Ballew, Fred and Jackie Ballew, Faye and Charles Silvers, Cecil and Christine Ballew, and James "Jim" Bishop; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Stella Ballew.

Survivors include his loving wife, Loretta Springfield; sister-in-law, Effie Bishop; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Claude Springfield will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Linginfelter officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
