Timothy Lewis Springfield

Timothy Lewis Springfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born on January 16, 1964, in Charleston, SC, Timothy was the beloved son of the late James David Springfield and Ellen Springfield. A lifelong South Carolinian, he made his mark through quiet strength, deep devotion to family, and a passion for the simple joys in life. For 20 wonderful years, he was married to his loving wife, Tamara Springfield, who stood by his side through life's ups and downs. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Tim was a man of many interests. A loyal fan of NASCAR, he rarely missed a weekend race and proudly cheered on the Dallas Cowboys every football season. He had a talent for refinishing furniture, often bringing old pieces back to life with care and craftsmanship. He also found joy and wonder in the world of Harry Potter. He was especially proud of his family, which was his greatest achievement. His love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unwavering. He found his greatest purpose in being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he carried that role with love and joy. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammie Springfield; his daughter, Jenna Ackerman (Bucky), his grandchildren: Quinton Saunders (Sarah) and Payton Richardson (Luke); his great grandchildren: Jackson Saunders and Penny Richardson; his siblings: Polly, Cindy, Sandra, Donna, Lynn, Dori, Jim, Dave, John, Paul, and Andy; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
