Claude Walker, of Brownwood, Texas and of Cape Coral, Fl, passed away surrounded by family. Claude was born on April 25, 1937, in Midland, Texas to Floyd D. Walker and Lillie Mae Godwin. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, outdoorsman, and man of faith, Claude's life was marked by loyalty, quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Born with a natural talent for athletics, Claude played basketball for Midwestern State University, where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Brooking. He built a life centered around hard work and family. He spent many years as a sales supervisor in non-grocery sales for McKesson. Where he was respected for his reliability, integrity, and steady leadership, earning Sales Leadership Awards.

Claude was happiest outdoors. He had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, and he especially loved spending time in Florida, where the warm weather and good fishing made him feel right at home. He passed that love of the outdoors on to his children, following his three boys, Richard Walker, Curtis Walker, Sherry, and Steve Walker, spouse Ann Walker across Texas and beyond as they competed in calf roping, bull riding, bare back, and wild horse race, and other sports. His support never wavered; he was always in the stands, always on the sidelines, always their biggest fan.

A faithful member of Southside Baptist Church, Claude lived his beliefs through kindness, service, and humility. His greatest joy was his family. He was married to the love of his life for 57 years, Elizabeth Walker, and together they built a home filled with laughter, grit, and unwavering devotion. He was always proud of the accomplishments of his grandchildren: Jared Walker, spouse Megan, Tristin Campbell, spouse Aaron, Stephanie Hamman, spouse Dennis, Taylor Walker, spouse Jessica; and Lauren Walker. As well as several great grandchildren.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth Walker and one son Richard Walker, brothers, Ogle Lee, Milford, O.B., and Billie Walker, sisters, Maurine Mallonee, Shirley Drew and Dorothey Rogers.

He is survived by one sister, Lorene Woodruff and spouse JB of Midland, Texas, and his sons, Curtis Walker and spouse Sherry of Sweetwater, Texas, Steve Walker and spouse Ann of Cape Coral, Florida, grandchildren Jared Walker, spouse Megan, Tristin Campbell, spouse Aaron, Stephanie Hamman, spouse Dennis, Taylor Walker, spouse Jessica; and Lauren Walker, and his great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Claude leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and strength. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church community, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Blaylock Funer Home, Brownwood, Texas. Graveside Services will be on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Indian Creek Cemetery.
