Kenneth "K-Dog" Don McBride went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Born on April 24, 1946, in the town of Brady, Texas, Kenneth was the cherished son of Ira Thomas "IT" and Opal Bennett McBride.

A true Texan, Kenneth was known for his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the great outdoors, often spending his time casting lines into tranquil waters as an avid fisherman. Kenneth's creative talents flourished as an artist and drummer, where he found joy in expressing himself through music and drawing. Kenneth had a lifelong love for the military, and his favorite things to draw were military aircraft, boats, and tanks. An enthusiastic storyteller, he took great delight in sharing his passion for history and Western films. His captivating tales endeared him too many; he truly had a gift for making friends wherever he went.

Kenneth lived a vibrant life as a lifelong resident of Brownwood, Texas. His work ethic was remarkable, as he dedicated over 20 years to Underwood's and continued his professional journey with Rotocast and Texas America Safety Company.

At the heart of Kenneth's world was his beloved "daughter," a spirited four-legged companion named Kenzie McBride. He also leaves behind his daughter, LaCindi Kay McBride Fair; his loving sister, Karen McBride Fair; and his sister-in-law, Ann McBride. Kenneth's legacy of love is carried on by his nieces, including Kim Johnson and her husband Phil; Shanna Jacobson and her husband Craig; and Felicity Sale, along with his nephew, Ryan McBride, and his wife, Suzette. He adored his many great-nephews and nieces: Christopher Johnson, Brady McBride, Meagan Person and husband Dylan; Emily Sale, Lilly Sale; and Courtney Dybas and husband Dylan. A special place in his heart was reserved for his great-great-niece, Bethany Joy Person.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved parents; his dear brother, Larry McBride; his brother-in-law, Dave Fair; and his cherished great-niece, Chelsie Ann Johnson. He is also preceded by his two beloved uncles, Plaze McBride and Herman Bennett, who proudly influenced his life with their wisdom and love. Kenneth's warm spirit and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to those who cared for him in his last days, the staff at Songbird Lodge and Alpha Omega Hospice, especially Carrie Chambers and Breanna Dent.
