Claudell Malone

Claudell Malone, 91, longtime resident of Whitesboro, Texas, was called to his eternal home on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Claudell was born on July 15, 1933 in Erick, Oklahoma, one of twelve children, to Alvin and Delphia (Jopes) Malone. He attended school in Delta County where he met the love of his life, Maurice Potts. On December 6, 1950 they married in Childress, Texas. As well as being a rancher, Claudell worked for Permian Oil for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being on his farm, taking care of the cows, and restoring old trucks and farm equipment.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Lynch and husband, Gary of Denton, grandchildren, Colton Baugh, Sunny Emery, Jared Lynch, Mark Malone Jr., Toby Malone, and Stormy Malone, great-grandchildren, Ryan Baugh, Grant Emery, Alec Emery, Emma Lynch, Colyn Lynch, Ehlana Favela, Aria Favela, Hailey Malone, Ayden Malone, Shane Davis, Evelyn Davis, and four siblings as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Claudell was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Delphia Malone, wife, Maurice Malone, daughter, Claudia Jo "Jodie" Baugh, son, Mark Malone, grandson, Patrick Jones, great-granddaughter, Lexi Lynch, and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be Colton Baugh, Jared Lynch, Mark Malone Jr, Toby Malone, Ryan Baugh, and Jim Emery, honorary pallbearer is Tony Collins.
Funeral services honoring Claudell will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May12, 2025 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Lyn Malone Dennis (his niece). Interment will follow at Oakwood cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service time on Monday at the funeral home.
