Claudette was born in Homer, La, on April 13, 1957, and went to be with Our Lord on December 8, 2025. We know it was a joyous reunion in Heaven between she and her mother, whom she missed dearly. She was a lifelong member of First Methodist Church in Monroe, where she was an active member in the Oasis Sunday School Class.
Claudette was a loving wife, mother, and MiMi. She often said her greatest achievements were her children and grandchildren. Any event her grandchildren participated in was most important to her.
Claudette had many talents. Her family vows she kept the cleanest house in the South, and was a master of organization. Claudette was thoughtful and always had a kind word to say to someone.
Claudette dedicated many years working in Ouachita Parish schools, where she always managed to find redeeming qualities in the students who visited her in the discipline office.
During the 30+ years of her health struggles, MiMi’s faith was strong and never wavered.
Claudette was preceded in death by her father, Warren C. Maddry; mother, Betty W. Maddry; father-in-law, Alford Bartlett; mother-in-law, Billie Bartlett Smith; step father-in-law, Bob Smith; sister-in-law, Jeannie Wade; and brother-in-law, Alfred Bartlett.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald A. Bartlett; daughter, Becky Bartlett Foster and husband Larry; son, Michael David Bartlett and wife Amy; brother, David Maddry and wife Ann; grandchildren, Ram Foster and Avery Dupree, Bruin Foster, and Ava Bartlett; sisters-in-law, Alphia Medine and Mellonie Bartlett; brother-in-law, Buddy Wade; special friends, Nancy and Ros Shirley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends whom she considered family.
Pallbearers will be Ram Foster, Larry Foster, Michael Bartlett, Scott Pickett, Scotty Herron, Larry Voorhees, Charles Brown, and Randall Garvin. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Oasis Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, Claudette’s wish was for people to donate at their local blood bank.
