With profound sadness but deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Edith "Claudette" Fox, who left this world to be with Jesus on March 14, 2025, at the age of 72. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate the extraordinary legacy of love, kindness, and generosity she leaves behind.
Born on December 22, 1952, Claudette lived her life with an open heart, always giving more than she received and loving without limits. Whether caring for family, offering a helping hand to a friend, giving to those in need, or rescuing a stray or hurt animal, her benevolence knew no bounds.
To her family, she was the heart and soul-the one who made her house a home, every gathering a celebration, and every challenge a little easier to bear. As a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, as well as a faithful daughter, sister, and aunt, she nurtured her family with boundless love and unwavering support.
Her legacy will not only be carried on by her family but also in the countless lives she touched. Claudette's career at Maytag/Whirlpool was very important to her, and she remained close to the friends she made there, even after her retirement. Claudette enjoyed watching all sports, especially if her grandchildren were playing, vacationing at the beach every summer, planting flowers and gardening with her husband, baking pies, and attending concerts and musicals with "the girls." She will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought to family celebrations and get-togethers in addition to outings with her friends.
Although we will miss her tremendously, we will honor her memory by embracing life, caring for each other, and continuing to spread goodness, just as she did every day.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Moore. She is survived by her Dad, Bobby Moore, her husband of 55 years, Ron Fox, two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris (Ashley) Fox and Jamie (Kelly) Fox. She also leaves behind her greatest joy in life, her four grandchildren: Jordan (Brennan) Graham, Brady Fox, Maggie Fox, and Jackson Fox. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Roxie Aurand, and brother and sister-in-law, Lynn (Kathy) Moore, and brother-in-law, Paul Fox, along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and a vast community of friends whose lives were made better simply by knowing her.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Chapel in Cleveland, TN. They will receive friends again on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. A Celebration of life service is to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Kody Fox officiating. The graveside service will directly follow at Mt. Olive Church of God Cemetery.
Since Claudette was an avid animal lover, the family asks that donations be made to McCracken Kitty Kat Rescue in her honor in lieu of flowers.
Rest in Jesus' arms, Claudette. The world is brighter because you were in it.
