Claudette Pesicka Obituary

Claudette Jean (Kniffen) Pesicka 1940- 2025 Claudette Jean Pesicka, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on December 3, 1940, in Wagner, South Dakota, Claudette filled the lives of those around her with joy, compassion, and an unwavering spirit. She was a loving wife to her husband Robert Pesicka of 64 years, she exemplified what it means to be committed, creating a partnership rooted in trust, laughter, and dedication to family.

Claudette's journey began when she graduated from Lake Andes High School in 1958 and continued her education at Southern State Teachers College, where she graduated in 1960. Throughout her life, she had a passion for learning and education, which led to careers as a teacher, children's librarian, and reading tutor. Her contributions to education fostered a love for reading in countless children.

Family was at the heart of Claudette's existence. She took immense pride in raising her children-daughters Becky Moss and Rita Hoeft, and sons Mike and Mark Pesicka-investing her time and affection into nurturing their dreams and supporting their endeavors. Her legacy shines through her grandchildren: Bryan, James, Aiyana, Alex, and Ian, and great granddaughter Aleaya. The joy she felt and the memories created with family will be cherished forever.

Claudette had a remarkable ability to bring people together, often serving everyone's favorite meals, homemade snacks or desserts. Her zest for life and optimistic outlook were infectious. She enjoyed every moment, from holiday decorating, watching reruns of I Love Lucy, sewing, camping, traveling, and cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers. Each endeavor she took on was filled with energy and laughter, a testament to her caring and joyful nature.

Faith also played a pivotal role in Claudette's life. Her involvement with the church reminded those around her of the importance of community. The friendships she fostered within her church and neighborhood are a testament to her loving spirit and the joy she found in serving others.

Claudette's life, filled with love for her family and commitment to her community, will always be remembered and celebrated. Her legacy of caring, humor, and dedication will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know her. As we say goodbye, we hold close to our hearts the beautiful memories she has given us, and we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
