Born in Barnwell, SC, Mrs. Claudette was a daughter of the late Claude J. Duncan and Dora Creech Duncan and was married to the late William Monroe Towne. She was a member of Barnwell First Baptist Church and retired from Barnwell School District #45 where she taught kindergarten for a number of years.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Brittany Towne of Barnwell, SC; grandchildren, Chloe Christine Towne, Wil Terry (Honey) Towne, MaKayla Nicole (Austin) Bryant, and Sailor Lennon Holden and a great grandson, Owen Towne.
In addition to her husband, William Towne, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ami Claudette Towne and a sister, Deborah "Desca" DuBois.
