Claudia Comb Obituary
Claudia was born in San Francisco on May 10, 1947 to June and Orion Moss; two brothers, Cliff (Debra) and Gary (Cindy) Moss, would follow. The family relocated to Santa Rosa and she attended St. Rose Elementary School, Ursuline High School, and the SRJC receiving an AA in Art. She spent many childhood summers in Guerneville, she was a proud "River Rat" who cherished her family's river house on Melody Avenue, and all the family, friends, and neighbors who walked through the front gate! So many special memories of her beloved "River House"!
She was "Momma Bear" to four cubs: Denise, Jason (Heather), Myles (Marie), Danielle, and "surrogate" momma to many! A devoted grandmother to Alyssa (Matt), Joshua (ShiAnn), Josefina, Simon, Jeni, Kenzie, Maddie, Lexi, Riley, Michaelina, and great-grandmother to Luka. Adored cousin, and doting aunt to many nieces, nephews, and friend to many! She loved her family and friends fiercely, looked forward to family gatherings, and in true Italian fashion, she always cooked an abundance of delicious comfort food – enough to feed an army!
Claudia was famous for her supremely artistic, delicious cakes; she spoiled her kids and grandchildren with cakes for every birthday and special occasion! A talented artist – acrylics on canvas and pottery, pencil-sketching, buttercream icing were her mediums; clouds and "bathroom rug characters" were among her subjects – she had a true artist's heart and creative spirit!
Our beautiful Claudia Rose crossed through that proverbial veil to the "other side" calmly and peacefully early in the morning on September 25, 2024 – her four cubs by her side, and "Stardust" playing in her ears – a perfectly human AND divine moment!
A funeral and reception will be at 11am on Friday, October 11th at her beloved Resurrection Parish, 303 Stony Point Road, Santa Rosa. Memorial donations will be gratefully received by: Sutter Care at Home (Attn: "Gift Processing") PO Box 160045, Sacramento, CA 95816

My thoughts and prayers to all of you kids. I met Claudia about 40 years ago when the boys went to daycare with my kids, Ben & Stacey Bentley. She made most all of the cakes for our family from that time on!! She was the best, cared about everyone and loved big. She will be truly missed.
