Claudia J. Dlugos

Claudia J. (Rocker) Dlugos, 75, of New Freedom, formerly of Mt. Pleasant Township, was called to Jesus on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Born Feb. 22, 1950, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Sulter) Rocker. Claudia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom and a previous member of St. Cecilia's and St. Boniface. Prior to retirement, she was an elementary school teacher at the former Cathedral, now present Aquinas Academy in Greensburg, for over 25 years. Claudia loved baking, working in the garden, and raising her grandchildren. She was a dear friend to many. Claudia will be forever missed by her loving daughter, Jamie Sliva, and her husband, Joe; twin grandchildren, Christopher and Hannah; brothers, Bob "Rocky" Rocker and Steve "Beamer" Rocker; sister, Connie Anderson; sister-in-law, Nancy (Jeff) Leonard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Ronald Dlugos, in 2012. At last, they are together again in God's Garden. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 23, at St. Cecilia Church in Whitney, PA. There will be no visitation per Claudia's request before the service.
