Claudia is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Meg) Carter and Michele Applegate (Bryan Applegate). Her grandchildren were Amanda Smith (Patrick Smith), Brittany Nicholes (Levi Nicholes), Christian Applegate, Elaine Applegate, and Alden Applegate: her precious great-grandson Elias Smith, and the anticipated "baby girl" Nicholes.
A memorial service will be planned for early January 2026 at St John's Episcopal Church of Corsicana. Donations to Home Helpers of Corsicana or New Century Hospice in her name are welcome and appreciated.
