Luke Hubler Obituary

Luke was born in York on July 20th, 1960 and was the son of the late John W. Hubler Sr. and Mary Lou (Conaway) Hubler. He was a 1978 graduate of Spring Grove Area High School where he participated in theater and entertained many with his antics throughout the years. Luke was often sporting a cast or crutches from his dare devil stunts and was even referred to as "Cool Hand Luke". Luke was best known for his love of smoking cigarettes. There may have even been a song that can be referenced to about this during his high school years. He would often venture out on his own and hike the Appalachian trail. He enjoyed eating breakfast at Lee's Diner or a Grand Slam at Denny's when out and about with family.
Luke worked for many years at Highway Oil in Hanover and other odd jobs in York.
Luke is survived by his son, Luke Newman Hubler, and wife, Amy of Kutztown; his step granddaughter, Emma Vanek; his ex-wife, Melinda (Brillhart) Hubler of Hanover; his brother, John Hubler Jr. of Spring Grove; and his sister, Denise Kline of York. He is also survived by his nephews Jason Hubler of York, Matthew Kline of Franklinville, and Josiah Kline of San Diego; and his nieces Lydia Stewart of South Carolina and Sophia Taylor of Manchester; and two great nieces and two great nephews. Luke was preceded in death by his father, his brother Mark, and his favorite brother-in-law Dale Kline.
The family services will be held privately under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc.

Luke was a nice guy and a lot of fun in high school, conversations with him would brighten my day. He had ad a unique, humorous perspective on life. I often thought of him over the years.
