Claudia Jean Layton

Graveside services for Claudia Layton, 73, formerly of Chandler, are set for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery, with Bro. Danny Bristow officiating. A visitation will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home before the service.
Mrs. Layton passed away on June 21, 2025, in Frisco.
Claudia Jean (Parsons) Layton was born on December 5, 1951, in Tyler, Texas. She was the daughter of Earl Parsons and Imogene (Firth) Parsons. Claudia graduated from John Tyler High School in 1970 and dedicated 34 years of her career to the Tyler Independent School District in food administration. An excellent cook, she enjoyed watching birds and animals and reading in her retirement. Claudia loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew and cherished her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Layton; and her granddaughter, Zoey Kate Caskey.
Survivors include her children, Marc Caskey and wife Samantha of Brownsboro and Terri Czerwinski and husband Joe of Frisco; her brother, Steve Parsons and wife Deanna of White Oak; and her grandchildren, Alex Czerwinski, Aaron Caskey, Michael Czerwinski, and Easton Caskey; and two nephews, Clint and Keith Parsons.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Caskey, Joe Czerwinski, Alex Czerwinski, Aaron Caskey, Michael Czerwinski, and Easton Caskey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Parsons and Farrell Golden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zoey's Place, 20022 State Highway 31 E, Brownsboro, Texas 75756.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home family.
