Claudia M. Phillips, 86, of Jeannette, formerly of McKeesport and Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 2, 1938 in Bunola and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Tignanelli) Greco. Claudia was the wife of the late William J. "Bill" Phillips, who passed away April 25, 2009. She was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. Claudia was a selfless full time mother and grandmother, who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing piano, dancing, flower gardening and watching westerns, her favorite was Gun Smoke. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, William "Billy" (Leeann) Phillips, David "Davey" (Justine) Phillips, Nancy Phillips, Daniel "Danny" (Dayna) Phillips and Gary Phillips; grandchildren, Jacob, Jackson, Charlie, and Joseph "Joey"; sister-in-law, Carolyn "Carrie" Greco; nieces and nephews and her dog, Lexie. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lauretta and brothers, Eugene, Arthur, Virgil and John. Friends are welcome on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Michael Church on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 10:00 am with The Rev. Thomas J. Burke, officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Claudia's name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Komen.org OR The St. Judes Children's Research Hospital at StJude.org. Condolences may be made at Gilbert FuneralHomeandCrematory.com
