Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory - MillersvilleCarrie O. (Huber) Phillips 74, of Lancaster, formerly of Millersville died Saturday, March 7, 2026. She shared 47 years of marriage with her husband Dave A. Phillips before his passing in 2020.
Born in Lancaster, Carrie was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Dorothy (Metzger) Huber. She graduated from Solanco High School in 1969.
Surviving are two sons Jeffrey Phillips, husband of Meghan, and Jason Phillips. Preceding Carrie in death were a sister Harriet J. Findley, brother Harry Huber Jr., and sister Dorothy A. Shuey. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Sue Spindler and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Carrie retired from the County of Lancaster after 24 years of service, last being Office Manager of the Millersville District Judge Office. After retirement she volunteered driving people places that needed rides to appointments. She was quoted that she was in her car more than she was at home, but this was something she enjoyed doing.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster for over 50 years, holding many positions over the years. Her longest one being Communion chairperson for over 37 years and taking care of the Holiday flowers.
Carrie was also a member of Women of the Moose, chapter 767 of Lancaster, since 1972.
Everyone that knew Carrie knew her passion for reading and listening to songs by Barry Manilow. She also liked going to Barnstormers games, starting when they first opened. Carrie was also involved with Spina Bifida Association when her youngest son Jason was born with Spina Bifida. Carrie and Dave were part of the parents that first started The Spina Bifida Association of Lancaster County.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at Christ United Methodist Church at 11 am on Saturday, March 28, 2026, with Rev. Roseann Goldberg-Taylor officiating. A visitation will take place from 10 to 11 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution in Carrie’s memory to Christ United Methodist Church, 935 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA. 17602 or Spina Bifida Association, 2000 Duke St, Suite 300, Alexandria, VA 22314.
