Nobles Funeral Home announces the passing and funeral services of Ms. Claudine Miles Mills, age 80, who departed this life on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah. A lifelong resident of Appling County and a devoted member of Hopewell Church, Ms. Mills was well-known for her kindness and dedication.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mills served as a bookkeeper, offering her expertise to Dr. Wilton Davis, Appling Gas Company, and Dr. James Bedingfield. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, impacting the lives of many with her warm spirit.
Ms. Mills is preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Kendall Mills, as well as her parents, Claud and Bernett Dyal Miles. She is survived by her son, Brian Mills (Beatriz); her two grandchildren, Grayson Mills and Madelynn Mills; her sister, Sandy Thomas (Gary); and her brother-in-law, Warren Mills (Deborah).
A funeral service to honor her life will take place on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Hopewell Church, officiated by Reverend Bobby Gale and Reverend Robby Kerr. Following the service, interment will occur in the church cemetery.
The family will welcome friends on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Serving as Active Pallbearers are Billy Satterwhite, Bryan Twiggs, Brian Westberry, Rob Jones, Jay Dyal, and Kenneth Vaughn.
Honorary pallbearers will include all in attendance who wish to pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Hopewell Church Cemetery Fund.
The family will gather at the home of Sandy and Gary Thomas at 479 Cypress Drive Baxley, Ga.
