Clay Decker, 69, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away surrounded by his family on December 27, 2025. He was born in Vincennes, Indiana on September 23, 1956, to the late John "Jack" and Ardith Decker. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1974. Clay married the love of his life, Nancy Collard, on April 15, 1978. He was a proud member of the Bahá'í faith for more than 50 years. Clay worked for Decker-Fox Insurance with his father, a company founded by his grandfather. He then went on to work for Exclusive International Pictures for 20+ years. He continued his career with Lowe's for the past 9 years specializing in the tool department. Clay was an active board member of Camp Arthur and the Indiana Military Museum for 30 years. He was also an avid collector of movie memorabilia such as posters, film reels, and projectors.
In his free time he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren helping them with projects, antiquing, fishing, mushroom hunting, spending time in nature, collecting records, and going to concerts with Nancy. Clay will be deeply missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ardith Decker.
Clay is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Nancy Decker; children Sarah (Dino Buljubasic) Decker and C. Colby (Jennifer) Decker; grandchildren Celeste, Isabella, Sofia; siblings David Decker, Eric (Elaine) Decker and Ellen Decker.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Decker. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm with burial at Memorial Park immediately following.
