Clay Christopher Irvin passed away on April 29, 2025, in Gilmer, Texas, at the age of 64. Born on December 16, 1960, in Longview, Texas, to Gerald and Deloris Rothrock Irvin.
Clay was a devoted follower of Christ, a faithful servant of the Lord, and a proud member of the Rosewood Baptist Church. He lived a service oriented life, and had a heart dedicated to helping others. Clay had a passion for the outdoors and cherished spending time with his family, who were always at the forefront of his heart. He was hardworking and dedicated man who owned and operated Clay Irvin Masonry and Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Irvin, daughter, Elissa Irvin, daughter and son in law, Hannah and Benjamin Jaeger, grandchildren, Jhett Travis Jaeger and Jase Clay Jaeger, siblings, Jeff Holmes, Melanie Irvin, Lisa Irvin, and Pam Pettingill, step-mother, Cindy Irvin, and step-father, Bud Barnhart.
Clay is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Roger Dale Clark, and Reginald Myers Irvin.
Visitation services for Clay will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service honoring his life will take place the following day, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Rosewood Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to reflect on his life and the legacy he leaves behind. Burial with follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County.
