Clay Martin

Rock Falls, IL / Ocala, FL – Clay Martin, a distinguished electrician and notorious car enthusiast, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on August 29th. Born on March 15, 1962, in Monticello, IA, Clay was 62 years old.
Clay was a proud graduate of Linn-Mar High School, and his career in the electrical trade was marked by his dedication and skill. As a valued member of IBEW Local Union 364 and a committed electrician for Duke Energy, Clay's expertise and hard work were well recognized throughout his career in both Rock Falls, IL, and Ocala, FL.
Outside of his professional life, Clay was known for his passion for vehicles and motorcycles. He had a profound love for acceleration on the open roads and exploring state parks like Maquoketa Caves and Mississippi Palisades. His journeys through these parks were a source of joy and inspiration, reflecting his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature.
Clay was cherished by his family for his ability to blend mischief and play. He was successful in crafting timeless stories filled with laughter and memorable phrases like: We gave it to the dog, That's not her real hair, Flat tire hooky, Tomato target practice, and Snakes have tongues until they don't? "Oh Clay"... these moments captured your unique ability to blend a little creative deviance, whimsy, and ultimately, joy and humor into our lives.

Clay is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janet; his sons, Johnathan (and his wife, Sonya) and Jesse (and his wife, Tiffany); his grandchildren, Woodsley and Riggston; his parents, John and Linda; and his younger brother, Chad (and his wife, Janet).
