Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern HillsClayton Teppo, 50, of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2026, surrounded by his family at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital.
Clayton was born on October 8, 1975, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Delmar Teppo and Bernadine (Gunhammer) Teppo. He grew up in Belle Fourche and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1995. He made countless memories there with his siblings, cousins, and lifelong friends.In high school, Clayton met Krista Wells, and the two were married in 1996. Together, they had three daughters, Megan, Kelsey, and Kaylee.
Clayton was a proud dad, and his girls meant everything to him. He was also a loving grandpa to his two granddaughters, Mariah and Penelope, whom he adored.Clayton loved being outdoors—whether it was fishing, riding four-wheelers, or cruising around in his Blazer.He had a way of making anyone smile and turning even an ordinary day into a good one. He made people laugh effortlessly, and if you knew him, you likely have a memory of him that still makes you laugh.More than anything, Clayton loved his family. He helped give his daughters a fun and adventurous childhood, and those memories will be held onto forever.
Clayton is survived by his daughters, Megan Teppo (fiancé, Matt Vogel) of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and Kelsey Teppo of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his granddaughters, Mariah Titus and Penelope Vogel; his brothers, Delmar “T” (Tiffany) Teppo Jr. of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Sean (Megan) Lien of Rapid City, South Dakota; and his sister, Stacia Teppo of Faarevejle, Denmark; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaylee; his father, Delmar Teppo; his mother, Bernadine Teppo; and his brother, Fred Lien.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Leverington Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Clayton’s life.
