Clement Neil Spencer, 81, of Browning, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Milan Health Care Center in Milan.

Neil was born January 14, 1945 in rural Sullivan County to Clement "Tim" and Evelyn (Fanning) Spencer. On May 2, 1969 in Browning, he married Margorie (Long) Spencer, she survives of the home. Also surviving: Three children, Melinda (Brad) Kimmis of Chillicothe, Missouri, Teresa (Donna) Spencer of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jimmie (Fawn) Spencer of Milan; Grandchildren, Danyelle (Levi) Chappell, Ethan (Tara) Case, Faren Evans, Brian Kimmis, and Lainee Kimmis; 13 Great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dean (Nancy) Spencer of Browning and Dale Spencer of Trenton, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Neil was preceded in death by: His parents; and a sister, Janet Frazier.

Neil grew up in Sullivan County, graduating from Milan C-II High School in 1963. Over the years he did farm work but also worked at Con Agra for 8 years and Smithfield for 13 years before retiring.

Neil liked to go to Cordray's to drink coffee and also going to have coffee with his brother, Dean. He loved fishing and hunting, he was an avid coon and coyote hunter. Neil enjoyed raising and training dogs for hunting, and spending time at the farm.

A memorial visitation for Neil will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Deep Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Deep Springs Cemetery.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Neil. Always enjoyed my time at the Spencer farm When I was young, Neil tried to teach me how to milk a cow...failed. all the boys had a good laugh. He and Marg attended all the Fanning Reunions, sure do miss the reunions. Now he is with all the heavenly family sitting around a banquet table eating and hearing all the old stories again. May the Lord bless the family with peace that passes all understanding, Love, cousin Pat
