Clemente Dizon Martin, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2026 at the age of 88.
Born on August 29th, 1937 in Camiling Tarlac, Phillipines, Clemente lived a life defined by love, integrity, and dedication to his family. He was the devoted husband of Darlene G. Martin and a proud father to Dawn Lynn, Carl Ray, Darrell Ray, Denise Francis, Keith Ray, Michael Martin, Roxy Martin, and Clemente Martin. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family, sharing stories, offering guidance, and creating lasting memories.
After serving his country honorably in the United States Navy for 20 years, Clemente worked as a Corporal for the Orange County Corrections Department for 20 years. During his career as a Corrections Officer, he was able to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in business administration Clemente finally retired in 1999 where he was able to relax and enjoy life. He was respected not only for his strong work ethic and commitment, but also for his kindness and willingness to help others. Outside of work, he enjoyed cooking, gardening, working on cars, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends, passions that reflected his patient and thoughtful nature.
Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, sense of humor, wisdom, generosity, and steady presence.. He taught us the value of patience, hard work, compassion, perseverance,and family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his sister Evelyn De Asis, children Dawn Lynn, Carl Ray, Darrell Ray, Denise Francis, Keith Ray, Michael Martin, Roxy Martin, and Clemente Martin and grandchildren, Gregory Lynn,Joseph Lynn, Daniel Lynn, Kara Fenton, Alyxis (Ray) Blakenship, Shelby (Ray) Allton,Christopher Francis, Nicole (Francis) Bradshaw, Kellie (Ray) Fagan, Keith Ray, Tiffany Ray,Arianna Ray, Jode Martin, Michael Martin, Addye Martin, Lyla Martin, Dylan Martin, Brooke Martin, Ethan Martin, and Penelope Martin; great grandchildren, Dexter, Tatum, Avery,Grayson, Piper, Kaylin, Dion, Easton, Ryan, Jaxon, Octavya, Gwyneth, Andrew, Noah, Cole,Aria, Jay, Lucy, and Kai. He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene G. Martin, father Estanislao P. Martin, mother Adelaida D. Martin, sister Ruth M. David, brother Stanley D. Martin, and brother Loreto D. Martin.
A public viewing will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Rd., Orlando FL., on Tuesday, March 10th, from 10am -11:30am, where funeral services will follow at 11:30am. Burial will take place immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we shared and the example Clemente set. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
